giving back 1% to the planet

The world means the world to us. We are mapping the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our HQ, laboratory and entire supply chain. This assessment will help us understand our complete environmental footprint so we can set science-driven goals to reduce it.

Every time you purchase our skin care we get excited for the 1% giving back programme we are part of,

Madagascar is more than just an island from an animated movie. It’s a nation with over 200,000 species of plants and animals that don’t exist anywhere else in the world. But more than 90% of Madagascar’s original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and taking away the Malagasy’s ability to farm and live on the land. Entire mangrove estuaries are gone, leaving the bare earth to wash away into the sea. 75 % of animals living in Madagascar do not live anywhere else in the world.

Eden Reforestation Projects launched its Madagascar project sites in 2007 by restoring ecologically devastated mangrove estuaries in the northwest of the country. Mangrove forests are essential ecosystems whose dense roots serve as an anchor for the soil and coastline preventing erosion and creating a barrier between harsh ocean systems and land. What began as primarily mangrove restoration and reforestation in 2007 grew to include a variety of native dry deciduous species in 2012.
Eden Reforestation Projects partners include two National Park systems, which aim to reforest and revive natural habitat for endangered and endemic animal species.

We respect the people who help bring our products to market, and are very strict in the way our ingredients are farmed, harvested, or mined. Having a close relationship with our suppliers. We have implemented audits of all of our suppliers to require legal mining (no slavery or child labour) and transparency especially in the large risk area of sourcing Mica. We would rather source different ingredients where the surety of an ingredient cannot be placed.

We strongly believe in children education and empowering women to be self sustained. Our company is woman owned and it is in our hearts to reduce poverty through employment.
